sheepLocated in an ideal rural and picturesque area Bowes Show can be found easily with access from the A66 at Bowes village. (See Map)

Parking is easy and all facilities including refreshments, show luncheon, toilets, licensed bar etc. are provided for your convenience.

Bowes Show can now boast one of the largest horse entries in the north shown over 8 arenas.

Programme of Events 2014

7.30am Gates open

8.50am President opens the Show

9.00am Horse and Pony judging commences (see separate timetable)

9.30am Horticultural & Industrial marquee closes for judging

10.00am Cattle judging commences in display ring
Sheep judging commences at the sheep pens
Craft and wool marquee open

11.30am Carol & Philip Mellin’s sheepdog demonstration in display ring

11.45am Dog entries taken at H & I marquee

12.00 noon President’s luncheon (limited tickets available)

12.30pm Punch & Judy Show
Horticultural & Industrial marquee reopens

1.00pm Afternoon horse and pony judging commences
Judging of miniature horses in display ring
Balloon modelling by Prof. Dan Slater
Middleton Brass Band (until 1.30pm)
Quoits competition

1.45pm Entries for dog show close

2.00pm Judging of dog show in handy pony ring
Punch & Judy Show
Middleton Brass Band (until 2.30pm)

2.30pm Carol & Philip Mellin’s sheepdog demonstration in display ring

3.00pm Children’s games followed by ‘tug of war’ in Ring 5
Middleton Brass Band (until 3.30pm)

3.30pm Grand Parade and presentation of championship cups in display ring

4.00pm Horticultural & Industrial marquee closes

4.15pm Auction of donated exhibits from H & I marquee

4.30pm Carriages arrive back onto the field from Marathon Show Drive Duck race
